We are a local chapter (squadron) of the United States Power Squadron. Our non-profit organization provides training on boating topics (both our local squadron and through National courses), social events for members and guests, and periodic on-water boating activities. REPORTING DAMAGE & OFFENDING BOATERS. Weds April 1, 2020 - 7-8pm
Capt David Duprie from Florida Watercraft (FWC).  FREE session
CANCELLED - CDC Guidelines
Come to the Marathon Yacht Club on Weds April 1st. The bar will be open and you can even order dinner before the meeting if you want. We've had incidents at the Yacht Clubs Docks where transient boaters from the boat ramp have come into our basin and hit docked boats causing damage, and then ran off. This is what initiated the conversation with FWC, but Captain Duprie's presentation is good general advice for boaters anywhere in Florida on exactly what to do if your boat has been damaged by other boaters. Besides, it's a chance to come into the Yacht Club to have a drink, maybe have an early dinner, and meet old friends. The Yacht Club is at 825 33rd St Gulf, Marathon FL 33050. You can call Shanna in the office there at 305.743.6739 to make a reservation for dinner, even if you're not a member of the club. Just say you're attending the FWC presentation. Registration is FREE and we just want to get an idea of numbers on a head count so that we can plan on staff for that evening.
